Biography
The duo of Jason Hutto (keyboards/ vocals) & Laura Harris (drums) made their live debut as The Aquarium in 2001, and since then have progressed apace, developing a unique, clatteringly melodic sound that sounds absurdly busy and full for just the two of them; somehow an extraordinary amount of energy is channelled into this riotous outfit without complex overdubs or session musicians. The overall effect is beguilingly oddball, math without the pretension, prog without the pomp - like Emerson, Lake and Palmer re- envisioned as a three-minute pop act, or Fugazi enjoying a crazed, wigged-out jam session.
