Biography
Confessor first hit the underground metal scene in the late 80’s, unleashing on an unsuspecting world a sound that combined some of the genre’s essential elements in a way that no band had hitherto attempted, and none have successfully imitated since. The band’s debut album Condemned was released on Earache in 1990, a brooding swamp of curiously melodic doom metal riffage overlaid with the distinctive wailing vocals of Scott Jeffreys; the band soon developed a loyal following, but released only one EP in the next two years before breaking up.
Tragedy brought the band back together: when guitarist Ivan Colon ??? his memory, and decided to record an EP, Blueprint Soul. Having rediscovered their magical blend of twisted riffs, complex rhythms and melodic vocals, the band decided to record another LP, and Southern Lord are thrilled to present Unraveled ???
