Death Sentence: Panda! are a trio of noise delinquents from San Francisco who add a cartoonish sense of drama to the Bay Area post-punk sound, armed with nothing more than a flute, pitchshifted clarinet, drum kit and a whole lotta hollering. Their music draws heavily on traditional Chinese and Korean folk music, ragtime, New Orleans-style marching bands and good ol' hardcore punk. With their debut mini-album Puppy, Kitty or Both, the band have produced eight feral blasts of unhinged pop and skip-n-stomp dance action. Eight songs that creep and sprint, shock and enliven.
