In the stop gap between Minor
Threat and Fugazi, Ian Mackaye
worked on several short term
projects. Egg Hunt was by far the
shortest. Along with fellow MT
stalwart and Dischord founder Jeff
Nelson, the duo managed to
record these two tracks during a
short trip to the UK and released
them as a 7".
Rehearing them on this CD
only re-release is a solid reminder
of how strong and powerful the
session really was. A funky bass
line, solid back beat and high
tension guitars lace through both
songs. It was a pity the session
couldn't have produced more.
