Final is a side project of Justin Broadrick, creator of the mind-melting industrial metal group Godflesh. Unlike Godflesh, Final is primarily electronic in nature, adopting on a more experimental, dark ambient sound. Before Godflesh, Napalm Death, Jesu, Techno Animal and all of Broadrick's other music projects, Final existed in it's own special bubble. Final is arguably the purest zero point of Broadrick's sonic vision, a brutal yet melodic crucible of inspiration he has returned to time and again over the last 20 years. Final3 is, as the name suggests, the third recorded installment of the Final legacy, as always a bafflingly brilliant mix of austere and foreboding ambience and harmonious delicacy. As with the release of every new Final album, it becomes time to expect the unexpected, this double CD collection doesn't disappoint - following tangents and bending ears to oblique new sounds with every twist and turn.
