The title is "like a twist on the idea of a self-titled record. It's like it is self-titled,
but we've thrown something in that fucks up the process a bit. We like to do things like that."
The album marks something of a return to the style of the band's earliest records....
"Some of the earlier stuff that we did as a studio band had more samplings on it, and this record has quite a lot of that stuff, more so than the last two we've done. We pick up on a few themes that we lost a long the way."
The album was produced by Ted Nicely, who produced their acclaimed last
two records, Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby and Cruise Yourself. Bassist Eli Janney took the
engineer's seat and the whole thing was recorded in Hoboken, New Jersey.
