| Lucid moments settle after having climbed from the darkest dwellings in the caves of your mind. A spotlight shocks them back, leaving a few to scatter about the room that you inhabit. The collectors arrive, being signaled by your confusion, to gather the physical emotions and lay your fears to rest. All is well, but no-one walks away completely unscathed. An imprint from each moment remains to re-appear at any instant, leaving an anxious feeling of a cattle prod mentality. Some are crushed and others retain their former states, yet others thrive and function more effortlessly than ever before because of this pending doom factor introduced and everlasting. The collectors speed to west Baltimore, to a building where three men reside, eagerly awaiting these new caught moments. A new opportunity to tame and train ∫ to operate and master the hands and feet, the fingers and legs, and the throats and ears. Peter Quinn, Lyle Kissack and Craig Bowen are these tamers. Reagent Specs is the new collection of sounds and feelings caught on analogue and funneled into digital data that will permeate your room with ethereal effects and disconcerting euphoria. Ink originated in Autumn 1997. Peter Quinn and Lyle Kissack called on
ACR Audio co-owner/ engineer Craig Bowen to help them record a piece for
their then band Candy Machine. Working together on that project, the three
realized a very special type of intuition existed and that a new group
should be started. Since then Ink has been recording regularly with various
other people and varying recording techniques. |
