Welcome to the second musical offering from KUKL.
The Icelandic group KUKL figured prominently in the UK indie
charts in 1984 with the release of their debut album "The Eye"
on Crass Records. Their second album is entitled
"Holidays in Europe"
and is a guided tour through the variety of emotions evoked by different
countries, customs and customs officials.
The band are seasoned travellers and last year saw them play the
Roskilde Festival alongside the Clash, Style Council and Nina Hagen
as well as in London at the Hammersmith Palais with
Psychic TV.
Being literally an Ethnic Minority Group, KUKL have taken their unique
Icelandic heritage and fused it together with what they see as the
best contemporary trends in music. The outcome is something both
joyous and disturbing which should be experienced by all.
