from tawdry headlines of yesterday's news comes this first installment from
the ongoing adventures of The Lucky Stars. From out of the West, our heroes
have emerged triumphantly to create a sound that rises above the bland and
murky landscape of today's popular music. From their humble beginnings playing
local bars and honky tonks, The Lucky Stars quickly earned a reputation
as one of the West Coast's most exciting live acts. Today the five piece
outfit, complete with steel guitar, accordian and piano, continues to power
its growing legend with sophisticated songwriting, swinging musical arrangements
and red-hot soloists.
On this, their first ever CD release, The Lucky Stars recorded live in the studio to capture the authentic and well-crafted sound that has become their trademark. This collection of eleven original songs, plus Pee Wee King's classic "Tennessee Tango", showcases a variety of moods and rhythms good for fueling that three-day bender or soothing that fourth day hangover.
