No Age

Biography

No Age are two heavy players in the LA noise/punk underworld who've teamed up to make the future musical and charming and full of ethereal chaos. They formed in December 2005, from the ashes of an incendiary final tour with their previous DIY punk group Wives, which ended with trip to Accident & Emergency in Islington, London.

Randy Randall and Dean Spunt bring the world back to their room with a different, more mysterious approach for their new band. Lo-fidelity glory crunch feedback, sweetly shouted ditties and violent bouts of percussion abound.

No Age have a rude energy that speeds them through live sets vearing from formless improvisation to pint-size punk tantrums. No Age signal the crashing collision of beautiful angst and noise with swelling guitar and songs fighting to break through amidst the white fuzz and purposefully covered pop.

“The member's clear love of hardcore punk is in part a fondness for an earlier age, a time when bands played basements and stayed there. Nowadays even a band like this one won't necessarily remain a secret.” 'New York Times', 6th November 2006
