biography
ostinato hail from the Virginia/ Washington D.C. area of the U.S.A. after years of friendship and relaxed free form music creation, ostinato was officially formed in 1997. jeremy ramirez (bass) david hennessy (guitar and vocals) and matthew clark (drums) rented a house and got focused, eventually amassing the material which was recorded for the 1998 self-release "unusable signal". extensive gigging in washington d.c. and virginia followed, as did several extended hiatuses. their second record was recorded throughout summer 2003 and plans are in the works for another extended tour with multimedia (audio-visual) supplementation. dave and jeremy currently reside in arlington, virginia and matthew resides in charlottesville, virginia. dave also plays drums in The Hidden Hand, the new band of fellow Doom-MeisterScott "Wino" Weinrich. stay tuned and beware the false ostinatos.....
