With this release, Whitmore & Hoyston form their diverse influences into something strikingly unified, featuring backing instrumentation including organ and a singing saw, and dusty, gentle production - contrasting with the shiny dross spumed out of mainstream country radio in contemporary America. The duo are united in their love of 70’s Nashville music, and the recording sessions for Hallways were almost alchemical, producing a touching, magical homage to a tradition which inspired both of them, in very different ways, to begin making music.
