Antelope "Reflector " CD/LP

Reflector' is Antelope's first full-length, it has the same stripped-down punk quality of their earlier two releases; their first a self-titled EP from 2003 with Dischord and the two song EP 'Crowns / The Flock' (Dischord, 2004), mixing up early 80's post punk influence (The Cure and Joy Division) with skewed pop (XTC) and krautrock-like rhythms. It was recorded in November 2006 at the Dischord house by Ian MacKaye and mixed by Ian and the band with Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios.

The Evens "Get Evens " CD/LP

With their second album, The Evens delve further into their own musical backgrounds and come out brandishing a shiny gem of agit-pop, building on the warmth of their debut with a robust, confident record. MacKaye has matured as a songwriter, broadening his scope without losing focus, and he and Farina here offer up a perfectly-formed piece of songwriting. The album was entirely self-recorded in the basement of Dischord House in the summer of 2006, which is reflected in its intimate, lyrical quality.

Channels "Waiting For The Next End of The World " CD/LP

Waiting For The Next End Of The World, is a wry commentary on the alarming power of the modern media and the waves of popular hysteria that increasingly grip the western world, neatly encapsulated within their characteristic shell of taut, compelling guitar pop. Mostly recorded live in the studio, the album has a concise, elegant character, intelligent without pretension, and profound without pomposity. Channels have quietly, subtly continued to take their traditional three-piece rock approach to new places, all the time tenaciously pursuing the ideological approach that has motivated them all along.

The Aquarium "The Aquarium " CD/LP

Jason Hutto (keyboards/vocals) & Laura Harris (drums) have recorded a riotous, clattering debut album that belts through eleven melodic workouts, a surreal take on indie rock that sounds like nothing so much as Emerson, Lake and Palmer re- envisioned as a three-minute pop act - bizarre, joyous and utterly unpretentious.
