Song Of The Week: Telephone Jim Jesus - Anywhere out of the Everything - "A Mouth of Fingers"

This week's Song Of The Week comes to us courtesy of Telephone Jim Jesus. We have chosen "A Mouth of Fingers", one of the standout tracks of his forthcoming album titled Anywhere Out Of The Everything which will be released mid September.

This (mostly) instrumental album bursts through the wide range of Jim Jesus' aka George Chadwick's unquestionable production ability which takes its inspiration from his post A Point Too Far to Astronaut travels, which included relief aid work following Hurricane Katrina and a stay in a Lithuanian squat in South London! "A Mouth of Fingers" itself is a playful number, filling your chest cavity with deep sub bass whilst guitar and synthesizer float around your head-space. Drums bounce through the middle of this hectic ambience to the point you almost have to get up from your computer and have a boogie but TJJ doesn't make disco floor filers, nor is this music necessarily for those "emo-hop" backpacker kids, nor is this music to go to bed to. Telephone Jim Jesus is far too eclectic with splashes of hip-hop / folk-hop / old-skool / collage and drone but it will certainly appeal to fans of Anticon's repertoire and will no doubt gather new fans also.
