Hailing from Baton Rouge, LA, Thou formed in 2005. They definitely share some DNA with neighbouring NOLA sludge fathers Eyehategod but inject a mammoth amount of originality into the tried and true genre.

Drawing influences from both the hardcore (Cursed, His Hero Is Gone, Converge) and doom scene (Burning Witch, Corrupted, Grief), Tyrant is a slumbering beast of a record which awakens throughout into a screaming rage.

Tyrant sits neatly by the side of label mates Weedeater and Khanate as well as satisfying the High On Fire and Eyehategod followers. Yet, Thou do more than place themselves well within record collections, marking out their own territory with great tenacity. Which is why this much-demanded re-issue of a long out of print 2007 release is back once more.
